Asia Bibi, a Pakistani woman, has been convicted and sentenced to death for allegedly insulting Islam. Isham Masih tells reporters that she cries every time she sees a picture of her mother, knowing that her mother will soon be put to death.
Asia Bibi's crime? She is a Christian, and for that she has been sentenced to death.
According to Pakistan's penal code 295-C,
"Whoever defiles the sacred name of the Holy Prophet Mohammed shall be punished with death or imprisonment for life".
In her home town, a unanimous vote for death by hanging and the town cleric said the verdict for her death was "one of the happiest moments" of his lfe. "Tears of joy poured from my eyes." His tears are in stark contrast to the tears of her daughters who await her death.
